Fall 2022 Community Air Quality Grant Solicitation

The Sac Metro Air District had over $ 22 million in mobile source incentive funding to improve air quality in Sacramento. The solicitation period opened on November 1, 2022, and closed on June 30, 2023. A total of 120 applications were received totaling over $70 million in requests.
Projects were selected according to the procedure set in the solicitation manual.
The final selection of projects submitted by individuals, community organizations, big and small businesses, and government agencies fully allocated the available $22
million for this solicitation.
Awarded projects included zero-emission heavy-duty vehicle replacements, school bus replacements, farm equipment replacements, low-carbon infrastructure installations, and other innovative projects. The Sac Metro Air District received 158 applications totaling over $57 million in requests to reduce air pollution from cars, trucks, tractors, buses, and other mobile sources in the Sacramento region. Projects were ranked according to the procedure set in the solicitation manual. The final selection of projects submitted by individuals, community organizations, big and small businesses, and government agencies will fully allocate the available $18 million for this solicitation.
