The Carl Moyer Grant Program was established in 1998 to fund the incremental cost of cleaner-than-required heavy-duty engines. The existing equipment must be self-propelled and the existing engine must be greater than or equal to 25 horsepower. The new or replacement engine must have a similar horsepower rating as the existing engine, with a maximum increase of 25 percent as determined by staff.
Agricultural & Construction Equipment Replacement. The Off-Road Equipment Replacement Program provides grant funds to replace Tier 0, Tier 1 and Tier 2 high-polluting off-road equipment with Tier 4 Final or zero-emission level equipment. Projects are eligible for reimbursement for up to a maximum of 80 percent of total equipment costs or the
Sac Metro Air District cost-effectiveness threshold for the emissions reduced, whichever is less.
