Mobility Options

Participant may select between Scrap & Replace or Scrap & Forget mobility options.

Scrap & Replace

Eligible replacement vehicles are conventional hybrid, plug-in hybrid (PHEV), battery electric (BEV), and fuel-cell electric vehicles (FCEV). Participants can purchase a new or used vehicle or lease a new vehicle. Participants may only get a replacement truck or minivan if they are replacing a vehicle of that type.  Vehicles must be purchased or leased through participating dealerships. Leased vehicles must be listed on the Clean Vehicle Rebate Project (CVRP). See participating dealerships here

Scrap & Forget

Participants who do not want to replace their old vehicles have the opportunity to obtain Sac RT transit cards. With the transit card, participants will be able to use Sac RT services including bus, light rail, and other services provided by Sac RT and its partners. Participants will receive a monthly pass for themselves and any enrolled members of their household. Contact your case manager for more information.
