Staff has prepared an Equivalency Determination demonstrating that the amendments to Rule 203 – Prevention of Significant Deterioration, are at least as stringent as federal regulations. Staff has tentatively scheduled a public hearing on March 3, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the District office, 777 12th Street, 3rd Floor, Sacramento, California. The public may review and provide comments on the equivalency determination. The equivalency determination is available at the District office. The tentative hearing will be cancelled if no member of the public requests that the hearing be held. The hearing request must be received by February 28, 2011. Announcement of a cancellation will be made on March 1, 2011 at 5:00 p.m. Notice of a cancellation will be posted on the District’s web site, www.airquality.org, and on the District’s billboard at the entrance to the District office at 777 12th Street, Sacramento, California. A cancellation notice will also be sent by e-mail to those who have requested to receive District notices. Written comments or a request for a hearing must be directed to Marc Cooley, 777 12th Street, 3rd Floor, Sacramento, CA 95814, by e-mail at mcooley@airquality.org, or by phone at (916) 874-4846. Written comments are not subject to the February 28, 2011 deadline and will be accepted if received on or before March 3, 2011.
