Why:

Residential wood burning is the largest single source of Sacramento’s wintertime air quality problems, which can cause serious health problems, even death. The AQMD wants to help protect the health of Sacramento County residents by reducing wood burning on specific days during the winter when air quality is at its worst.  To learn more about the proposed restrictions or offer feedback, please join the AQMD at one of the above Open House meetings.  For more information, please call 916-874-4800 or toll free 800-880-9025.
