Background
The US Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA) requires the AQMD to prepare an Annual Monitoring Network Report (40 CFR 58.10). The report documents the existing SLAMS air monitoring network within Sacramento County.
The report must contain specific air monitoring network information. The report also discusses any proposed changes in the ambient air monitoring network that may be proposed to occur within the next 18 months.
The AQMD must make the report available for a 30-day public comment period and then submit the report to the US EPA.
