| Elk Grove Sustainability Element/Climate Action Plan | The Sustainability Element and Climate Action Plan project (Project) would: 1) Adopt the Sustainability Element of the General Plan, as a General Plan amendment. The Sustainability Element includes goals and policies to help the City achieve a wide range of desired results related to sustainability; 2) Adopt the Climate Action Plan, which includes a range of measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from a variety of sources throughout the City; and 3) Provide a mechanism for subsequent projects to streamline analysis of cumulative impacts associated with greenhouse gases, as allowed by Section 15183.5 of the State CEQA Guidelines (Chapter 3 of Division 6 of Title 14 of the California Code of Regulations). SMAQMD summarized its conccerns with the Elk Grove CAP and FSEIR in a table which it provided to the City. |

| Elk Grove SOI Amendment | On February 27, 2008, the Elk Grove City Council requested the Sacramento Local Government Agency Formation Commission (LAFCo) process a Sphere of Influence (SOI) amendment to include the area south and east of the existing City boundaries. This action and subsequent direction to staff to prepare all necessary application materials and submit to LAFCo, were the latest actions by Council to begin the process of comprehensively planning for future growth within the Urban Study Area as outlined in the Elk Grove General Plan. | Southeast Area Specific Plan and Rezone | The Southeast Area Specific Plan (SASP) proposes development of 1,194 acres encompassing Elk Grove’s Southeast Policy Area.
